August 25th and 26th saw the coming together of the students of the 12-13 batch and the 11-12batch to celebrate the interns’ graduation ceremony. The first day began with a special prayer andcontinued with the candle lighting ceremony where the interns formed India’s outline very elegantly.This event was followed by the crest pinning ceremony where the interns were pinned with their very own logo of PIMS. The day came to an end with the 11-12 batch performing a cultural mix for the audience. These students, well-known for their incredible dancing skills were nostalgic about their last performance on the PIMS stage and gave us a visual treat.
The next day began with the chief guest Dr. H. S. Ballal , Pro-chancellor of Manipal University, declaring the graduation ceremony open. The jasmine chain procession involving both batches of students was a pleasant and beautiful one. It was followed certificate awarding ceremonies for both undergraduate and the postgraduate students. It was an emotional time for all. Prizes were awarded to the toppers of the professional exams of each year. Siddhant J Thampi bagged numerous gold medals and was named best outgoing student. Roshni Olivia Roberts secured two gold medals and a silver medal. The title of best sports person went to S. Shri Easwari and best overall student went to Aravind
Sivakumar. The programme came to an end with a dinner arrangement for the students and their families.
